Saham AS terus merudum, AS$6 trilion hilang dalam 2 Hari

 Selepas Presiden AS Donald Trump mengumumkan cukai balasan global, China membalas dengan kadar cukai setara menyebabkan pasaran saham AS merudum pada Jumaat. Indeks utama mencatatkan kejatuhan dua hari berturut-turut melebihi 1,500 mata dengan kerugian pasaran mencecah AS$6 trilion. Indeks Perindustrian Purata Dow Jones terjun 2,231.07 mata (5.50%) ke 38,314.86 mata selepas China mengumumkan cukai 34% ke atas import AS. Kejatuhan dua hari berturut-turut sebanyak 3,910.46 mata ini mencatatkan rekod terburuk sejak Jun 2020 dan kali pertama dalam sejarah jatuh melebihi 1,500 mata selama dua hari. Indeks S&P 500 menyusut 322.44 mata (5.97%) ke 5,074.08 mata - kemerosotan terbesar sejak Mac 2020 dengan penurunan 17% dari paras tertinggi terkini, menghampiri zon pasaran beruang. Malaysia's growth expected to slow to 3% this year

U.S. President Trump has announced that tariffs will be imposed on a country-by-country basis, with Malaysia starting to impose a 24% tariff on Friday. Economists predict that this could impact Malaysia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by as much as 1.5%, leaving the annual economic growth rate at only 3%, which poses a downside risk to long-term growth prospects. MIDF research economists point out that the U.S. market accounted for 13% of Malaysia's total exports last year. If exports to the U.S. decrease by 10%, it will impact Malaysia's export sector by 1.3%. Exports Could Plummet by 5.8%   At the same time, if the U.S. raises tariffs, it will also affect the demand from other countries in the region.
